Dolina Rybiego Potoku Tatry

The Rybi Potok Valley

Tatrzańskie szczyty o zachodzie słońca.

Włosienica Tourist region: Tatry i Podhale

Morskie Oko is the largest and most popular Tatra lake at the foot of the Mięguszowieckie Peaks. Undoubtedly, the place attracts the most crowds of tourists.

The trail starts at the car park in Palenica Białczańska, and it is worth booking a parking place in advance. The red trail leads gently upwards for about 3 hours, and the forest path is interspersed with viewpoints of the surroundings of the Biała Woda Valley. An attraction of the route is the Mickiewicz Waterfalls - picturesque cascades created along the current of the Roztoka Stream.

After reaching the upper part of the Rybi Potok Valley, tourists can enjoy a panorama of Morskie Oko Lake and the peaks reflected in its surface: the Mięguszowieckie Peaks, Cubryna and Mnich. In addition to resting on the shore of the lake or at the mountain hostel, it is worth choosing to take a walk along the trail around Morskie Oko Lake or going further to Czarny Staw pod Rysami Lake. From the area around Morskie Oko Lake, one can start further treks in the High Tatras to the famous Rysy Mountain, the less frequented Chałubiński Gate or the Szpiglasowa Pass, and even to the Valley of Five Polish Lakes.
