Osiedle Ustrzyk 388, 34-453 Ochotnica Górna
Tourist region: Gorce i Beskid Wyspowy
Who were the Wallachians? They were pastoral people who arrived in the Polish lands around the 15th century. They wandered from the Bieszczady Mountains through the Beskid Niski, the Beskid Sądecki, the Gorce, Podtatrze, the Beskid Żywiecki and the Beskid Śląski and further west towards Moravia.
Ochotnica Górna has now immersed itself in tourism. Through it, trails lead to the Gorce peaks, e.g., Mt Turbacz and Mt Gorc. Lubań – from which you can admire impressive panoramas of the Tatra Mountains, the Nowotarska Valley, Podhale, the Pieniny and many other mountain ranges. Lubań is close to Krościenko, Szczawnica, Czorsztyn, Niedzica, Nowy Targ and Zakopane... It opens up to us all the cultural and natural wealth of the region and the power of the attractions that not only the Gorce Mountains but also Podhale, the Pieniny, the Beskids and the Tatra Mountains offer at any time of the year – and to everyone.
